Start planning your home’s paint job

Does your stucco home need to be painted? It’s time to start planning your paint job. At Crash of Rhinos Painting, we make this incredibly easy! In this article, we’ll walk you through the entire process, from start-to-finish, and answer your questions.

What do I do first?

Start by getting a free digital proposal from us. Filling out the form only takes a few seconds. We’ll put together your proposal and quote and email it to you within 24 hours.

That’s it! It’s fast, easy, and convenient.

Whether you’ve already decided to work with us, or you’re still shopping around, our free digital proposal gives you all the information you need to make a decision on us.

What do I need to know?

Our digital house painting proposal will contain everything you need to know about your upcoming painting project, from our complete scope of work to details about our 7-year paint warranty.

We email it all to you, along with our upfront quote. That way, you can make a decision with all of the details in front of you!

When will my project start?

Our proposal will contain a proposed start date. Once you’ve accepted our estimate and signed the digital proposal, we’ll confirm the start date with you. When that day arrives, so will our team. We’ll set up and get going with our prep work.

Do I need to pay you in advance?

No. We don’t believe in charging our customers in advance. After all, we haven’t even started to paint your home—why should you owe us anything? We’ll only charge you when the work’s all done. It’s just the right way to do things!

Earlier, we mentioned that our digital proposal will contain our team’s estimate. That’s the final price. We don’t tack on extra fees or come up with bogus reasons to charge you.

If other painters aren’t willing to provide an upfront quote, or pledge to stand by their original price, you should probably be wary. It could mean there are surprise charges coming your way.

Should you give a downpayment to a painter?

In the video below, Mike Ricker explains why you should never give a downpayment to an exterior painter.

What do I need to do to prepare?

We handle all the prep work and yard cleanup in advance of your project. Don’t worry about masking around doors, windows, or light fixtures—we’ll take care of all that.

We’ll also take steps to protect nearby plants, trees, patio furniture, grills, and everything else that isn’t getting painted.

What about picking colors?

Our Professional Color Consultant can help with that! This added service is perfect for busy homeowners.

Finding the right color for your home’s exterior can be more difficult than it seems. While most stucco homes here in the Valley feature white, off-white, tan, beige, or brown paint, there are a lot of subtle differences between even similar-looking shades.

That’s where our consultant comes into the picture. They can help you sort through your color choices and find the perfect paint for your home.

Of course, you’re probably not the only one with a say in what color your home gets painted. If you live in an HOA community, they may already have color standards in place.

Not to worry! Our consultant will contact your HOA directly and handle all the back-and-forth (as well as any paperwork). We’ll then run the pre-approved list of colors past you.

What should I expect?

Well, for one, a fully and beautifully painted home! We take pride in our work and we’ve built our business on doing right by the people we work with. Your home matters to us—period.

Beyond that, we’re known for our communication. We’ll keep you updated on the status of your project as it’s ongoing. No homeowner should be left in the dark, or be wondering how much longer their project will take to complete.

Every home we paint is overseen by a project manager who is directly responsible for both ensuring quality and for keeping you in the loop on everything. And, of course, we’ll handle all the cleanup and conduct a final inspection.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. In fact, our paint comes with a 7-year warranty. For our industry, that’s an extremely long time: most painters only offer between a 2-5 year warranty.

We stand by our work for a full 7 years because we’re confident in our people, our process, and our paint. We know that our approach to stucco painting results in a longer-lasting, better-looking home.

Here’s something else you should know: our 7-year warranty is included with every job. Many of our competitors here in the Valley offer extended warranties, but they charge you extra for them. By doing so, you’re basically paying to insure their work.

In our view, that’s not the way it should be, and it’s not how we do business with people.

Don’t wait another month!

We get it: life is busy. Exterior painting is an easy project to push off to future months—until, that is, you get a letter from your HOA, or need to list your home.

If you know your home needs to be painted, now’s the time to get a free digital proposal from us.
