What a difference. I had so much trouble just getting paint professionals to come to my house just to give me a proposal. One showed up, one didn’t, one tried to change the time for their convenience, one wouldn’t give me a time of arrival even the day before. Frustrated, I Googled “best home painters in Phoenix.” Several names populated, but the name “Crash of Rhinos Painting” stood out for good reason. It’s not every day you see that name for a business. I called on a Friday well after 5pm expecting to get an answering machine, but someone answered and it was Mike, the owner of the business. We chatted for a few minutes and I told him I am not looking for a cheap, quick paint job, but more of an experience. I have always been willing to pay more if the value exceeds the price. I could have gone with a painter with a lower price but none would have provided the experience and the quality Crash of Rhinos did. Steve came to the house and took pictures and made assessments and recommendations I hadn’t even known of. When he left he said I would get a proposal within a couple of hours and that’s exactly what happened. Kim and Meghan provided excellent feedback, suggestions and great scheduling. The entire organization is exceptional in communication, follow through, punctuality, patience and attention to detail. The staff is friendly and thorough, the crew that painted the house was always on time and very nice to answer all questions. The detail in the prep work alone was something I’d never seen before. The measures they take to ensure the surrounding property is protected is top notch. John and Victor and the rest of the crew were fantastic. Shannon, their Project Manager showed up one day at the house as well to see the progress and answered more questions and I found out they recently started doing small handyman type repair jobs. I asked her to look at a drywall issue and she quoted me on the spot and we got that taken care of as well. Thank you to the entire Crash of Rhinos team for an exceptional experience. I originally hired Crash of Rhinos for exterior painting but unfortunately they were booked out past the time our HOA allowed us to get the house painted. Just let me say Mike the owner is amazing! He really makes the customer feel very special. Since I had to go with another company, I spoke with a color specialist and they even heard good things about Crash of Rhinos painting. Perhaps the best experience I’ve ever had with any home contractor. I got 3 estimates to paint my home and Crash of Rhinos was right in the middle on price. I especially liked that their crew consists of long-term employees, not 1099 contractors. But the most impressive thing was that it was the most extensive and detailed estimate I’ve ever had . . . for anything. Steve Lutz explained every step of the process in detail and what to expect. He also answered all my questions including many I didn’t think to ask.Scheduling with Megan was seamless and she was able to work around my travel schedule, which I appreciated. The crew (Javier and Robert) were fabulous. They showed up every day on time, worked diligently, kept me fully informed, and treated my property like it was their own. Their attention to detail was especially appreciated. In addition, Shannon was on site each morning as a second set of eyes for quality control and sent me an email at the end of each day with a progress report (complete with photos) and what to expect the following day.Frankly, I feel like I could have been out of town the entire time and the project would have proceeded just fine. I strongly recommend this firm to anyone who wants dependable, high quality work at a fair price.
