What’s with the name?

A Crash is the group identification name for rhinos, much like a group of birds are called a flock. A rhino can run up to 30 miles per hour, but can only see 30 feet ahead. They run together in confidence, moving forward at full speed, even if they're not sure exactly what is in front of them. As a business, we want to follow that example and continue to maintain forward momentum, confident that whatever awaits us up ahead, we will approach it with force and determination.

Our inspiration

The name comes from a passage in The Barbarian Way: Unleash the Untamed Faith Within by Erwin Raphael McManus. In it, McManus writes about visiting a wildlife park and marveling at the collective names for animal groups — and landing on his favorite. Rhinos can run thirty miles per hour but can only see thirty feet in front of them, and a group of rhinos running together is called a crash: charging ahead at full speed, confident in whatever waits beyond what they can see.
